Toys (this referring to toys made by toy companies) are pointless. Read all the other reviews that you want about how great they are and how much time your child will spend playing with them, but I am here to tell you that if your children are anything like mine - don't waste your money buying toys.
We got Peyt some really great things for Christmas, but the toys sit on the shelves and he's only wanted to do one thing this whole winter......shovel. "Please Mommy, can I shovel the driveway? Daddy, please don't shovel without me. That is pretty much the only thing that will keep him occupied for more than a couple minutes. (It could be that shoveling in our backyard was our only activity for the first two years of his life!!) I've never seen him get as excited about anything as he did when our neighbor gave him a new snow shovel!!
And remember how we spent hours and days and weeks fixing up our backyard so it would be fun for the kids. They don't play in the playhouse. They don't dig in the sandbox. They only like to play in the dirt and rock pile in the corner of our yard. At least I always know right where they are....
And yet, I don't think I'll ever give up hope. There's got to be a good toy out there somewhere!!!
